Question, scoped Can you live in Richardson and commute by train? As of October 2026. Confirm schedules at https://www.dart.org. The answer DART's Red Line light rail runs north–south through Richardson, with stations at Spring Valley, Arapaho Center, Galatyn Park and CityLine/Bush, continuing to Plano. Trains reach downtown Dallas directly. The Orange Line shares this track during part of the day; check the timetable for when it runs this far north. The Silver Line regional rail crosses Richardson east–west on its route between DFW Airport and Plano, including service near the University of Texas at Dallas. Check dart.org for its current stations and frequency. Practical notes: - CityLine/Bush and Galatyn Park are next to employment and apartment clusters, and the most practical for a car-light life. - DART buses and on-demand GoLink zones fill gaps; GoLink is booked in the GoPass app. - Park-and-ride lots are available at several stations. Sourced DART system map and schedules. What would change this answer Changes to Silver Line service, and new development around stations. Look at the City of Richardson's planning agendas for the station areas.
