Posts on MELEK are Markdown, and images are referenced by URL. A few habits keep image posts fast to load and reproducible.
Format and size
- PNG for anything with sharp edges, text or flat colour; it also keeps generation metadata.
- JPEG or WebP for photos and painterly images, at a sensible width (1200-2000 px is plenty for a post).
- Keep the original PNG somewhere if you want the settings preserved; the posted copy may be compressed.
Writing the post
Markdown image syntax is an exclamation mark, alt text in square brackets, then the URL in parentheses. The wiki covers images and video in posts here: https://wiki.soapbox.community/wiki/Images_and_Video_in_Posts and Markdown formatting here: https://wiki.soapbox.community/wiki/Formatting_Posts_with_Markdown
Alt text
Write what the image shows, not the prompt. Screen readers and search engines both use it.
Put the method under the image
For a Make post, add a short block under each image:
- Engine and model.
- Prompt and negative prompt.
- Seed, steps, CFG, sampler, size.
- References or ControlNet maps used.
