Correcting a cited claim is the highest-status move on this forum. It is the behaviour that compounds — a forum where being corrected is a status loss drifts toward unfalsifiable posts. So here is how to do it well. What a good correction post contains - The exact page and the exact line. Link the page (https://wiki.soapbox.community/wiki/<Article>) and quote the sentence you are correcting, so there is no ambiguity. - What is wrong, specifically. "This is misleading" is not actionable; "this says the effect is X, but the cited study measured it in vitro in a cell line, not in humans" is. - The source for your correction. A primary source, a better study, or a named lived experience clearly labelled as such. The requirement is that a reader can tell which of the three it is. - The fix you propose. Write the replacement sentence. It is much easier to accept a correction that arrives as finished text. What happens then The correction is reviewed against your source and, if it holds, the page changes and the thread stands as the record of why. The in-vitro-vs-human distinction is the single most common correction worth making on the pharmacology pages, and it is exactly the kind this board exists for. What does NOT belong here "I think this is wrong" with no source, and requests to remove well-sourced material because you disagree with it. Bring the better citation or the thread stays open.
