Drift comes from wording drift. If you describe the character slightly differently each time, the model draws a slightly different person each time. Fix the words.
Template
NAME (for you, not the model)
Core line (paste verbatim, always first):
[age] [gender presentation], [build], [skin tone], [face shape], [hair: colour, length, style], [eye colour], [one signature item]
Example core line:
woman in her thirties, tall and lean, deep brown skin, long oval face, short silver locs, amber eyes, gold hoop in left ear
Outfit lines (pick one per image, verbatim):
- Outfit A: indigo linen tunic, leather belt with brass buckle
- Outfit B: black wool coat, high collar
Never in the core line: mood, lighting, setting, camera. Those go after it.
Why one signature item
Models drop small details first. A single, large, distinctive item (a scar, a coloured streak, an earring on a named side) is something you can check in every image. If the item drifts, the character has drifted.
A drift checklist
Before keeping an image, check: hair colour and parting, eye colour, the signature item and its side, skin tone under different lighting, apparent age. Lighting changes skin tone in the render; that is lighting, but note it.
Pair it with a reference
The record keeps words stable; a reference image (IP-Adapter) keeps the face stable. Use both. In Hathor Studio, upload the reference to Character Effects and use the core line as the start of your description.
